Branching out from the usual ‘Scriptural’ books that people read, there are actually several other books, written by Jews or early followers of the Messiah & Gnostics, that didn’t make it into the Biblical Canon, yet are still quite interesting to read. Unfortunately, whilst there are already translations available for such works, they’re either very old and sound almost KJV-ish (example: http://tinyurl.com/6wnz9x4), or not easily readable or downloadable (example: http://tinyurl.com/7qk7byk). I have sought to rectify this, bringing a new, up to date translation of the underlying Greek and/or Hebrew texts, plus allowing them to be easily downloaded, read, and studied to see just exactly how they may differ from the Canonised books, and determine exactly why they didn’t receive Canoninity.

There will be three versions of each one: First) The sole English translation; Second) The underlying Greek and/or Hebrew text used only; and Third) Parallel English and underlying Language, in verse order.

But who knows. Maybe some more pieces from this manuscript shall be identified from the several hundred from the Dead Sea Scrolls that they’ve yet to identify

Please remember that a Greek-English Interlinear is NOT a translation, so it should not be used as such. Interlinears should only be used for looking up what a word means by itself, not necessarily how it is used in the context of the sentence that it is in

I’ve finally completed the Greek Basis pages/pdf files for MattithYah (Matthew), Lucus (Luke) and Acts, therefore completing them all! This therefore means I have all the underlying Greek words for people to look at so they can check the translation seen here on TWTY. Consequently, I now also have the ability to make Greek-English Interlinear’s for all of the books as well

As usual, any and all PDF’s on TWTY can be downloads from the Downloads page, and quicklinks to the online webpages are on the sidebar to the right

This also means that all the manuscripts containing text from the Twelve Minor Prophets have been completely transcribed and uploaded onto the website, and so I’ve compiled them all into their respective manuscripts and names

Amos however, containing 9 chapters, is a bit more complete among the Dead Sea Scrolls being contained in four manuscripts: 4Q78^c (4QXII^c), 4Q82^g (4QXII^g), 5Q4Amos (5QAmos) and Wadi Murabba’at (MurXII). These four manuscripts contain text from all of the 9 chapters, although not every word is extant. Nevertheless, Amos does come down to us from these 2000+ year old scrolls in a near-complete form

(For people that haven’t realised, there are certain “key codes” for the Dead Sea Scroll’s Manuscripts. 4Q stands for “Fourth Qumran Cave” (so therefore “2Q” would stand for “Second Qumran Cave” and so on and so forth), and manuscripts with XII in their title stand for “Twelve” and so refer to “The Twelve Minor Prophets”).

As it happens, this therefore means that I’ve transcribed the whole of the Nahal Hever Greek Minor Prophets Scroll (8HevXII^gr), and so I have combined all of the transcriptions into one volume of the Nahal Hever Greek Minor Prophets Scroll (8HevXII^gr) in PDF form. Previous to the free transcription now available on TWTY, people’s only access to such a complete transcription would be if they bought the $175+ book Discoveries in the Judaean Desert: Volume VIII. The Greek Minor Prophets Scroll from Nahal Hever (8HevXIIgr), which is, as far as I’m concerned, far too expensive of a book to get.
