A bit of a break from translating this week. Well, I say break, but I’ve actually be extremely busy putting together a new Greek-English interlinear of the book known as 2 Peter!

As with all Greek-English interlinear’s on here, I don’t make them into web format due to the complicated nature of getting all the tables to work together properly, and so I provide a Downloadable PDF of the Interlinear that anyone can read as long as they’ve got a PDF reader programme on their PC, which most of you will have installed out of the box

Update! New PDF & Announcement

I have finally finished doing the notes for the translation of the Acts of the Apostles, to which I have uploaded in PDF format. The notes are not yet up on the webpage, but they should be done in the next few days.

I also have an announcement: The translation of 1 & 2 Timotheos and The Eye-witness Account of Yahuchanon are going to be on hiatus for the time being. There are certain other things that are currently more important than an Amplified English translation of these works, to which I need to be concentrating on more for the time being. If I have time, I may do some translation, but don’t expect any translation updates for a while.

I shall also be hoping to pump out a couple of Version 2′s and 3′s of translations that have already been done, so I shall let everyone know when they are done and uploaded.

Update! Translation Completion

Just a quick update to note that around 2 mins ago, I finally finished translating The Book of Acts! This obviously means that I haven’t finished doing the notes for it yet, but I shall be endeavouring over the next few days to get the core text of the translation up onto this website, with the PDF and completed notes to follow soon after

So, watch this space!

Mini Update!

Just a quick post to say that I’ve done some editing of the Translation Pages, and those of you running Internet Explorer 7, 8, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, or Apple’s Safari Internet Browser’s should now see, to the left side of the Translation Pages, a black box labelled Menu. If you click this, another box will slide down from the top of the page, making navigating the website on the Translation Pages a lot easier than it has been

Each page should now load faster thanks to my superb XHTML and PHP coding skills >.>
(that last line is a lie – I don’t have superb XHTML and PHP coding skills – they’re adequate at best)

For those of you not running those Internet Browser’s, all of those browser’s based on the Firefox or Chromium system shouldn’t have any problems either. Only those running Internet Explorer 6 and previous Internet Explorer versions will have touble. Saying that, those of you running Internet Explorer 7 and previous probably have trouble with every webpage you come across, so I would advise you to read this page, about why you not only should, but NEED to upgrade your Internet Browser.

Update! New Web Host

Just in case people were wondering about all the downtime that The Way To Yahuweh has been suffering recently, it was unfortunately caused by my former webhost – Smoovenet.com, who had their UK server causing a whole host of, what can only be said as, “unknown issues” – unknown mainly because Smoovenet has yet to tell anyone they host what the problem has been! After it went down again for the 4th time in less than a week (an average 7 hours per downtime), I sought about finding a new webhost, as Smoovenet’s service is now a complete and utter shambles, not just regarding me either.

So, I am glad to say that I have now moved all files and such to my new webhost’s server; relatively new company Pinchhost.com, who managed to have the server ready for me less than an hour after placing my order! Hopefully everything has managed to transfer across correctly. I have checked through the site to see whether I could find anything missing or anything, but I wasn’t able to find anything wrong!

So, hopefully this will mark the end to the barrage of downtimes the website suffered (as well as many other Smoovenet hosted websites).

If anyone notices anything out of whack, please, let me know!

Update! New Translation

Seeing as though the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost is fast approaching (Saturday evening 30/5/09 – Sunday evening 31/5/09), I have decided to upload the First two chapters of the Acts of the Apostles. I have only done the webpage form at the moment though, without any notes on it, and no PDF at the moment. All of these will be added when the whole translation of the Acts of the Apostles has been completed

Update! Translation Revision

After finishing both the Lucus and 2 Thessalonians Translations, I have gone back and done a revision of my translation of Titus. It has now grown quite significantly, and I have also finally created a fully-functional PDF file to go with it

As it happens, I shall be starting both the Textual Criticism and translation of the Book of Acts (a.k.a The Acts of the Apostles) immediately, and judging from how long the translation of Lucus took (the same author of Acts), this may be the final update for a while, as Acts is even longer than Lucus!

Saying that, there was something that seriously annoyed me when I was doing my revision of Titus, so I shall probably post a few blogs between now and when I finish translating Acts

Update! New Translation

Less than five days after I posted up a new translation, I have another new translation for all of you! This time it is the shortish book of 2 Thessalonians. Whilst it may only be four A4 pages long, the Apostle Paul leaves a wealth of information for us to read, ponder and acknowledge.

It’s taken a little bit longer than I anticipated, but I have now finished making the PDF file for the Lucus translation, including the right-margin notes. These notes will also be added to the Lucus translation webpage as soon as possible
